Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan seeks a motivated, team-oriented individual for a full-time District Manager position covering our Imlay City, Lapeer, and Oxford stores.

**Objective:** Implement the retail operations plan to achieve targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals related to production, revenue, and profit across three retail store locations. Motivate, guide, coach, and lead management teams to achieve key business metrics and expected outcomes.


Annual Salary:  $60,000 plus monthly bonus potential!

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with retail teams and customers to identify critical business issues, ensuring alignment of strategies and tactics. 
  • Collaborates with Store Managers to establish objectives and goals by continuously developing innovative and cost-effective product offerings; reviews product levels daily to meet bottom line sales budgets against targets.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Retail to develop innovative retail strategies that ensure a competitive edge; stays informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
  • Ensures that store locations provide outstanding customer service to both donors and customers.
  • Ensures that store locations are clean, well-maintained, and accurately reflect the Goodwill brand..
  • Coordinates with local businesses and organizations to support and promote Goodwill’s mission.
  • Ensures that store leadership receives training and development to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities.

Think you've got what it takes? 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in retail/operational management with multi-site experience.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to set, manage, and meet deadlines.
  • Successful track record in increasing sales, production, driving profits and exceeding goals.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and lead by example.
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, develop, and promote exceptional employees.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills -- both verbal and written.
  • Must anticipate opportunities and challenges, evaluate data and make good judgments, adapt to unexpected changes, improve efficiencies resulting in improved delivery of service and meet expectations while conforming to the highest values, ethics, and accountability standards.
