Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for a motivated, team-building individual to fill a Full Time Accounting Manager position in our Administration Office in Burton to cover the Mid-Michigan area.   

Objective: Help establish and endure operation of controls in all functions. Assist in reporting of financial activities and perform special projects for the CFO. 


Annual Salary: 65,000

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Supervises the Acct. Clerk I, Acct. Clerk II, and POS Auditor.
  • Support CFO and Staff Accountant with month-end close process.
  • Makes journal entries of other than routine income or expense activity.
  • Backup for bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Backup for weekly accounts payable check process.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Monitors receivables to ensure timely collections
  • Weekly review of checks for accuracy and proper general ledger account coding.
  • Review of Store and Business Office internal controls to ensure accurate financial results and reporting.

Think you've got what it takes? 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Five years of accounting experience or equivalent
  • Two years supervisory experience of multiple staff
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Valid driver's license
  • Daily use of good judgement and integrity
  • Consistently demonstrates initiative
  • Ability to make sound financial decisions
